Ridiculous I eventually solved it by borrowing an older Mac from my wife. They couldnt just provide me a download link. Is it still possible to buy an app via the Mac app store, then download an earlier version ( as described here)? It is I was on the phone with Apple for literally 50 minutes and the only solution I got was to install High Sierra and download LPX 10.4.8 from there.
